Addressing Domestic and Family Violence
Central Synagogue is a proud participant in New York City’s Domestic/Family Violence and Faith in Action Weekend. February 9th-11th, synagogues, churches, mosques, and temples throughout New York are addressing the subject of domestic and family violence.

Family Trip to Israel, December 2017
Just this past week, Rabbi Lorge and Rabbi Rosenthal returned from leading a congregational trip to Israel. The group, made up of Central families, explored both the historical and religious significance of the beautiful country. From the old stones of Jerusalem to the mystical city of Tsfat, they left no stone unturned as they discovered the wonder of Eretz Yisrael, the Land of Israel.

Cantor Mutlu’s Reflection on Chanukah
I am so grateful that on Friday, January 26 that 6 pm I will be installed as Central Synagogue’s senior cantor. Looking forward to this event I am reminded of all of my guiding lights along the way: from the instructor of that first music theory class to the rabbis, cantors, colleagues, and teachers who continue to show me the way.
