Shabbat & Holidays for Families

Shabbat Central (ages 0–5)

Shabbat Central provides a warm, exciting, and accessible Shabbat experience open to all. Geared to families of children from birth to age five, Shabbat Central is led by Shira Kobren Wasserman along with Rabbi Rebecca Rosenthal and Early Childhood Department staff. Shabbat Yeladim

For members pre-K to 6th Grade

Shabbat Yeladim (Children’s Shabbat) is a fun, creative, meaningful Shabbat experience for our LCLJ learners in pre-K to 6th Grade. Each Shabbat Yeladim includes a Kabbalat Shabbat service led by our t’filah specialist, a story or teaching on the week’s Torah portion or upcoming holidays, and/or a unique and exciting program facilitated by different URJ Camps and our educators. Shabbat Yeladim is followed by a family Shabbat dinner. Registration is not required for Shabbat Yeladim, but members should check their email for dinner registration.

Any questions? Contact Mikah Atkind, Director of the Lese Center for Living Judaism.
