Rena Allen is Central Synagogue’s Director Developmental Learning and Special Education and is passionate about making Jewish education accessible to all learners. She works closely with families and educators at Central’s LCLJ and May Family Nursery School to understand children’s learning needs and manage support services for families throughout the year. She also trains Central educators on how to create a learning environment that serves all children. 

Rena holds a BA in psychology from Binghamton University and an MSEd in Special Education from Bank Street College. She loves living and working in New York City, attending Broadway shows, and discovering new neighborhood gems. She lives in Manhattan’s Washington Heights with her husband, Noah, and daughter, Livya.
