Most recently, Jonathan Crystal was Chief Financial Officer and a third-generation principal of Crystal & Company, the insurance brokerage of choice for leading financial institutions, corporations, and non-profit organizations.
Active in the community, Jonathan serves as an officer on the Board of Trustees of The Jewish Museum and Friends of Mount Sinai, and is on the advisory Board of the Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center. He is also a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization, Gotham Chapter, and serves on the Executive Committee of the Young Presidents’ Organization Global Family Business Network.
Jonathan graduated cum laude with a bachelor of arts from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University and with a certificate from the Program in Latin American Studies.
Jonathan and his wife, Darcie, who was ordained a Rabbi in 2002 by Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion, have been members of Central Synagogue for 10 years. They have 3 children: Abram, Eli, and Hannah. Recently, his eldest son, Eli, became a bar mitzvah at Central. Jonathan currently serves on Central’s Investment Committee and Youth & Family Engagement Committee.
