Sara Moss is the Vice Chairman of The Estée Lauder Companies. In her role, Sara serves as a senior advisor to the Board of Directors, Executive Management, and the Lauder family. She also co-leads the Women’s Leaderships Network (WLN) and is a leader of the Sustainability Executive Committee. Previously, Sara served as Executive Vice President and General Counsel for The Estée Lauder Companies, where she was responsible for the Company’s worldwide Legal function for 16 years. Sara began her legal career as a law clerk for Constance Baker Motley, then became a litigator at Davis Polk & Wardwell. She then went on to serve as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Southern District of New York, where she prosecuted a wide range of federal cases. Moving back to the private sector, Sara became a litigation partner at Howard, Darby & Levin (now Covington & Burling) and then Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Pitney Bowes Inc.

Sara has been a member of Central for 11 years and has served on the Cantorial Search Committee which selected Senior Cantor Dan Mutlu. She has four children and lives in New York with her husband, Michael Gould.
