Jill Seigerman

Secretary

Jill Alpert Seigerman has been a member of Central Synagogue since 2006. She has been a lay leader for a number of years, first serving as a member of the leadership development group. In this capacity, she co-coordinated a series of 75 member gatherings as part of a listening campaign. Jill then joined the CORE Team, working to elevate the education, outreach, and community building programs. In addition, Jill served on the nominating committee for three years. She is now entering her eighth year as a Trustee.

Jill has been actively involved in education reform for years, co-founding the mentoring program for girls almost two decades ago at Harlem Village Academies (HVA), one of the leading charter schools in the country. For the past fifteen years, Jill served on the New York City Board of Trustees of Peer Health Exchange (PHE), a health education program that empowers young people with the knowledge, skills, and resources they need to make healthy decisions.

Jill graduated from the University of Michigan in 1992 with a BA in History. Jill worked in media, first with Liz Tilberis at Harper’s BAZAAR and then with Joan Lunden at ABC Entertainment. Jill and her husband Evan reside in Manhattan with their two daughters, Alex and Max.
