Overtime: A Circle for Strength and Inspiration

January 31, 2019

Overtime; A Circle for Strength and Inspiration welcomes those parents nurturing children—teenage and up—who have chronic mental health issues. This closed and confidential group pairs traditional support work—sharing stories, normalizing experiences, offering resources—with a unique focus on caregivers through reading and writing poems together. Overtime will be facilitated by Central’s workshop instructor of three years, award-winning poet and social worker Jessica Greenbaum. Her poetry workshops with communities who experience trauma include teaching at Footsteps (an agency for people leaving ultra-Orthodoxy), and the NYU School of Medical’s World Trade Center’s Health Program for 9/11 First Responders.

Overtime will be held on Tuesdays at lunchtime. If you are interested in participating or have any questions, please feel free to email either Rabbi Lori Koffman or Jessica Greenbaum.
