We are thrilled to share that on June 17, 2019, the NY State Governor, Senate, and Assembly passed the Driver’s License Access and Privacy Act (Green Light NY), which will restore the right to obtain a license, regardless of immigration status. Central Synagogue was proud to be part of a group of leaders from labor, the business community, other groups of faith and advocates, the New York Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism (RAC-NY), and the Green Light Coalition to ensure the passage of this important initiative in New York State immigration reform.
