Shabbaton: A Day of Prayer, Learning, and Connection

Saturday, March 30, 2024, 9:30 am–5:30 pm

In Person (Community House) & Virtual (Zoom)

Gather with your Central Clergy and community for a Shabbaton exploring our complex universe through a Jewish lens. This enriching day of spiritual reflection and intellectual inquiry includes a musical morning Mishkan Shabbat service, a fascinating dive into Complexity theory – the scientific notion that all existence is interconnected in a vast complex system – from renowned researcher Dr. Neil Theise, Clergy-led breakout sessions, learning with Rabbi Angela Buchdahl, and a festive havdalah. Lunch will be served, along with snacks and beverages. Join us as we contemplate the mysteries that bridge science and religion, delving into our connection to the universe and to one another.

This program is primarily in-person. Virtual attendees will be able join us for Mishkan services, our keynote address, a special breakout session with Rabbi Andrew Kaplan Mandel, and learning with Rabbi Angela Buchdahl.
