Co-Existence in Action: A Conversation Circle

Thursdays, March 21, 28 & April 4, 12:00–1:00 pm

Virtual (Zoom)

As questions of “the day after the war” loom large on the global stage, what can we do as individuals and as a collective community to contribute to the Israel we want to see? Meet other members of the Central Synagogue community who want to lend their hearts, minds and hands to a thriving future for Israelis and Palestinians. Bear witness and provide input to the unique efforts of Rabbi Cantor Shani Ben-Or, who is working in Jerusalem with Palestinian peers to create shared initiatives amid atrocity and heartbreak.

Central Synagogue's conversation circles are a safe space to talk about hard things. As the war in Israel-Gaza rages on, American Jews are struggling to process a range of intense and often conflicting feelings from afar. Facing renewed threats of antisemitism, many are feeling anxious, overwhelmed, and isolated. Some feel themselves growing desensitized and apathetic. Central is here to help our community contend with these struggles. In this three-part virtual series, facilitated by trusted and compassionate experts, participants will take an important step toward peacebuilding through dialogue.
