Shabbat Central provides a warm, exciting, and accessible Shabbat experience for your entire family. Geared to families of children from birth to age five, Shabbat Central is led by an experienced musician and children’s service leader along with members of the clergy and Early Childhood Department staff. Children and families gather together for song, prayer, movement, stories, and fun. Following the service, a light meal is served.

Shabbat Yeladim (Children’s Shabbat) is a program for our young LCLJ learners in pre-K to 5th Grades. Drop off your child(ren) with us in the Community House and we’ll provide an age-appropriate, fun, creative, and meaningful Shabbat experience while you attend our Main Sanctuary service. Each week will include a Kabbalat Shabbat service, a teaching on the week’s Torah portion and upcoming holidays, and/or a unique and exciting program facilitated by different URJ Camps. Drop-off and dinner begin at 5:45 pm followed by a short service at 6:00 pm.
Any questions? Contact Merissa Hochberg.
Join us for a special Family Shabbat Service in Beir Chapel. Central Clergy and LCLJ educators will lead us in a shorter version of our traditional Friday night service. We’ll start with a light snack at 5:45, followed by services at 6:00 and a light dinner.
Today more than ever we rely on you to support our educational, community, and spiritual programs that are so important to Central members and the Jewish community-at-large. If you are able, please support our Annual Yom Kippur Appeal today with a tax-deductible contribution.
