Supporting Your Teens in a World of Rising Antisemitism

Wednesday, January 11, 2023, 8:00-9:00 pm

Virtual

We invite parents of teens to join Dr. Samantha Vinokor-Meinrath for an interactive session about supporting our teens in the face of rising antisemitism. The American Jewish community is facing unprecedented levels of antisemitism. With antisemitic rhetoric and actions manifesting on the political Left and Right, online and in person, relating to Israel and more, Jewish adolescents coming of age today are left struggling to find new answers to age-old questions about hatred, discrimination, and their own Jewish identities. As parents and caregivers, we may find ourselves trying to figure out how to support our teens while also seeking to understand the challenges antisemitism brings to us. Dr. Samantha Vinokor-Meinrath is a lifelong Jewish educator and learner. She currently serves as the Senior Director of Knowledge, Ideas and Learning at The Jewish Education Project and is the author of #antisemitism: Coming of Age During the Resurgence of Hate, a deep dive into the experiences of Jewish Generation Z-ers in the face of rising antisemitism.
