As a community, we are yet again living through a visible rise in antisemitism and hate in this country. It is in moments such as these, when our faith is threatened, that we must show our strength and join together not only as Jews but with other leaders and communities of faith as well.
On December 16, Central invites our members and their friends of different faiths to a special Interfaith Shabbat in partnership with Shine A Light, Imam Abdullah Antepli, and other Christian and Muslim leaders. Imam Antempli is Senior Fellow on Jewish-Muslim Relations at Shalom Hartman Institute in Jerusalem, where he founded and co-directs the Muslim Leadership Initiative.
We cannot fight antisemitism on our own and are grateful for partners from the Muslim and Christian traditions who have made this a priority. United as leaders in faith, we show there is no place for antisemitism, islamophobia, or racism in our society.
