Join photojournalist Saskia Keeley for an afternoon virtual presentation on the possibility of reconciliation through photography workshops that unpack decades of fear through the simples acts of looking and listening. For four years in a row, she has conducted photo workshops, in collaboration with the organization, Freinds of Roots, to Orthodox Jewish Israeli and Palestinian women. Though living side-by-side in the West Bank, for political reasons, these women would otherwise have no contact. Please join us for this storytelling that includes poignant perspectives on the conflict from both Palestinian and Israeli points of view, and how Keeley’s work fosters respect for the other, a prerequisite for lasting justice, freedom and peace.
Saskia Bory Keeley is an international humanitarian journalist who partners with humanitarian organizations to share their valuable work with the world, including Leaders’ Quest (India), The END Fund/Amani Global Works (Democratic Republic of the Congo), Roots and Taghyeer (West Bank), and We Love Reading.
