Location: Main Sanctuary

From: November 26, 2019–May 12, 2020

Details:

The Gabe Wiener Foundation is proud to continue its free lunchtime concert series. The concerts are performed on the Gabe M. Wiener Memorial Organ, an extraordinary instrument commissioned for Central Synagogue by Zena and Michael Wiener and Jenny Wiener Steingart in celebration of the life of Gabe M. Wiener.

The series is under the direction of Dr. Gail Archer, the esteemed director of the Barnard/Columbia Chorus & Chamber Choir at Barnard College, Columbia University, and international concert organist. The concert runs on two Tuesdays per month between October and May. The first concert of each month spotlights organists from around the globe—talented individuals who have yet to be widely exposed to American audiences. The latter concert of each month features students from the many acclaimed area universities—the undiscovered next generation of emerging organ and musical talents.
