An Evening with Tony Award Winner Ari’el Stachel

What does it mean to be Jewish today?

Tony Award–winning actor Ari’el Stachel grew up with a Jewish story that crossed Yemen, Israel, and America—resulting in an identity that never fit neatly into anyone else’s categories.

In a special 90-minute performance in our Main Sanctuary, Stachel brings that story to life with humor, vulnerability, and theatrical force, exploring race, family, belonging, and the complicated experience of becoming comfortable in one's own Jewish skin.

Following the performance, Stachel joins Rabbi Angela Buchdahl for an intimate conversation about the identities we inherit, the ones we hide, and the ones we ultimately choose to claim.

Come to hear his story. Leave thinking differently about your own.
