AIDS Memorial Quilt Exhibit

In 1987, a group of strangers gathered to remember the names and lives of loved ones who perished in the HIV/AIDs epidemic – names they feared history would forget. With that seemingly simple act of love and defiance, the first panels of The AIDS Memorial Quilt were created. This year, Central is proud to display a single panel of the Quilt for Pride Month. Visit Lese Lobby to experience this important and deeply moving piece of American and queer history, love, and remembrance. Presented in partnership with the East Midtown Partnership.
The quilt will be available for viewing from June 6–22 on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, from 12:30–2:00 pm in Lese Lobby.
