David Strickland worked as a substitute organist at Central Synagogue before joining us as our full-time organist in 2006. David is a graduate of the Wayne State University School of Fine and Performing Arts and was a student of Detroit Symphony Orchestra Pianist Mischa Kottler and DSO Organist Raymond Ferguson. David previously served as the music director for Epiphany Church in Gramercy Park. He also is a composer. His opera, Phoenix Park, was produced by Downtown Music Productions, and his musical, The Trapped Family Singers, played at the Fringe International NYC Festival. His work has also been performed by the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and by the National Symphony Orchestra of London.
Help our Synagogue continue to shine brightly as a force of optimism and hope by donating to our annual campaign. Your gift will help support everything that makes Central unique and special.
