Beth Clausen joined Central in 2010 and after working as the Director of Program Operations for AFS-USA, Intercultural Programs in New York City, where she led the planning and execution of all exchange program operations for young students who studied with AFS in the United States and more than 40 countries abroad.  Earlier in her career, she served as the Director of Staffing and Recruitment and the Assistant Director of Human Resources for the international, educational organization Up With People.  She traveled globally to market and recruit interested candidates and aligned resources to support staffing needs as well as assisted in employee relations, issue resolution, and career development. 

Outside of Central, Beth enjoys being on or near the water, watching college football, reading, cooking, and, more recently, experimenting with recipes that support a plant-based diet. Beth is originally from Indiana and graduated from Valparaiso University. She currently lives in Pelham, New York, with her husband and is the proud parent of two sons.
