Ben is excited for another year with the LCLJ! He grew up in Schenectady, New York, where he was very active in his synagogue’s community and the youth group. He graduated from the University of Maryland in 2015 with degrees in both History and Education. At Maryland, his passion for the two grew through his work at the National Archives, his role as a teacher’s aide in a special education classroom, and his experience student teaching at a local high school. Ben has been a camper at URJ Eisner Camp since he was very young and continued to explore his passion for Jewish education there both as a counselor and then as a unit head. While working at camp, he worked primarily with the 7th and 11th graders. In his free time, Ben loves to read, explore New York, and cheer on the Maryland Terrapins.
